YOC Soup

This receipt came from a cookbook published by the wives of the
345 Tactical
Airlift Squadron, Yokota AFB,
2-3 onions, sliced lengthwise
˝ lb butter
1 cup hard flour
2-3 qt chicken soup stock
2-4 chicken bouillon cubes
˝ cup canned milk
salt and pepper to taste
10 slices French bread *
10 slices Swiss cheese *
* serves 10 so slice what you’ll need

+ sauté onions
+ add flour, sauté and brown lightly
+ add chicken stock little by little , stirring constantly
+ add bouillon cubes
+ salt and pepper
+ add canned milk and heat through
+ ladle soup into oven-safe bowls
+ add slice of bread and cheese to each bowl
+ place bowl in broiler until cheese melts
